Today was a rest day - never when you have a bike and beautiful roads and views. At least I was able to sleep in and relax until 9:00 and then headed for breakfast and get ready for a ride out with the Oslo HOG Chapter. As each day we ride with very different riders it is now at a time where some have decided to be very strategic in who they ride behind, beside or in front of.
The ride today was beautiful riding the fjords and seeing the beautiful waters, homes and boats. We headed out at 11:00 and didn't get back until 4:00. The group decided to meet back at the lobby for 6:00 to go downtown for supper.
After a nice nap and getting refreshed I met our group down at the lobby and we took the tram into Oslo. Thankfully the tram comes every 15 minutes because by the time we all figured out how to purchase our tickets and activate them a tram had already passed! Arriving downtown it was very busy and full of statues and restaurants that really cater to the cruise ships.
We walked around trying to decide where to eat and finally met some of the Posse team who recommended Louise's Restaurant. Very good choice. Arriving at the restaurant we were all commenting on all the beautiful young blond women when a young blond lad was at the reception area of the restaurant and the four of us ladies were gaga over and the guys all burst out laughing as we were engaging this guy in conversation. I don't think it was the first time that someone has paid this much attention to him but he was very good about it. As soon as I saw lobster on the menu I knew what I would have and the lobster from the North Sea was delicious! I was in heaven!!
Getting back to the tram station was quite the walk but that wasn't the end of our walk for the night as once we got to our stop we had to walk uphill and I mean straight uphill to the hotel. OMG this area is known for its ski jumping and cross country skiing but we were not on any cross country ski trail. It was midnight by the time I hit my room and Connie was sound asleep by then and I didn't have the energy to complete the blog last night. Today we ride to Gotenborg.
