Today the brightness of the day woke us up early and it was really too early to get up - plus it wasn't sunny at all today. Connie was up at 5:00 am and packed and showered and out the door by 6:00!! Well my alarm was set for 6:30 but I was up and ready to go before the alarm went off!! Hopefully that works tomorrow morning as well as we have kick stands up at 7:15 am but the briefing is at 7:00 am. So hopefully we get up and at it again as early as this morning!
Today was a rainy day but it was not a hard rain thankfully. The roads were very straight and the most exciting parts were going around the round abouts which happened less frequently today than any other day before.
We passed through the area where there were a lot of sand dunes and harbours. I thought of my sister and her family when we passed a number of areas where there was kite boarding available. I'm sure when it is sunny it would be amazing!
Tonight we arrived early to the hotel and had time to go to the laundry mat across the road. Connie had read that there was a laundry mat available so we were all prepared with a bag of dirty clothes this morning. I arrived at the hotel after Connie but she met me as I was coming in and had already figured out where to go - how much - and then took the bag and went and started the laundry. She is the best!! I was able to have a beer, shower and then back over to the laundry mat where I took the remainder of the clothes out of the dryer and brought them back.
Supper was very good - but so much food! Cod was the first dish and then roast beef the second dish along with dessert of crepes (which they called pancakes) with ice cream and fruit. Very good!!
Ferry ride tomorrow should be fun heading over to Norway where we stay in Oslo tomorrow night!!
