TWO WEEKS TO EPR 2016

Starting to get excited!!  This year marks another milestone of great adventures on a motorcycle.  I am heading to Europe again this year and joining the European Posse Ride again for the 2016 tour.  We will be riding through 11 countries and seeing some amazing roads and views along the way.  This picture is from 2014 EPR and the frame was given to me by my son and his girlfriend for Christmas 2014.  It represents all the places that I want to go!!  Embrace Life is an unbelievable saying and everyone should do it!!

This year just might be my last European Posse Ride unless I have a big windfall of money come my way - LOL.  It has been two years saving up for this trip as I started right after I got home from the 2014 EPR in hopes that they would host another one in 2016.  I had such an amazing time and met some awesome people from all over the world and it makes it hard not to want to see them again and see the beautiful sites of Europe while riding a Harley!

So this year the route is called "The Viking Route" and we will be riding through 11 countries, covering 3,800 km in 17 days.  Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia and Italy are the countries I will ride through.  Mountains this time are the Alps, the Dolomites and the Carpates.  All the luggage will be transported from hotel to hotel (so room to make purchases along the way) and there will be assistance trucks in the event of breakdowns.  Dinners will be the highlight of the areas that we will travel through.  I am not usually in favour of tasting different foods but it seems over in Europe is the place to do it as everything is so fresh.  I'll let you know the foods as we travel.  I have rented a Street Glide as this is the bike I am most comfortable in.

I have started to make a list of all the items I will need to bring and some of the items I still need to purchase.  I depart on June 29th flying from Ottawa to Toronto and then Toronto to Amsterdam arriving on the 30th as it is an overnight flight.  I will be arriving a few days early so that I can tour around Amsterdam and enjoy the place I have dreamed of visiting for so many years.  Also this time I will be sharing a room with a lady from California!  I just know her from Facebook and mutual friends from the previous EPR.  We should have a blast together and I really look forward to meeting her.
